The Greatest Leader

Please allow me to take a moment of personal privilege. I realize that these emails travel to a diverse group of people and go literally across the world. I have great respect for religions and faiths that are different than mine. That is why at this time of the year, I am always reminded of the greatest leader who ever lived, in my opinion. He understood poverty yet engaged the wealthy with incredible insight. He was a political enemy of the state yet was loved by thousands. He demonstrated the ability to build a powerful and influential team that has transcended the constraints of time and geography. He invented servant leadership.

You may see him as a great leader, prophet or just a really good person. I agree with you on all counts. However, it goes deeper for me, I am a follower of this leader called Jesus, who I believe lives today. His leadership of my life guides my decisions and forms my values.

At this time of the year we pause to celebrate his birth by demonstrating his leadership strategy of serving others. I hope that you will take the time this Christmas season to pay tribute to it's namesake. When we follow the leadership example of Jesus we will make a difference in the lives of those we love, live with and lead.

Merry Christmas,

Larry
